Purple Berberis is a colourful deciduous plant with deep purple leaves, orange flowers and red small fruits in the autumn which attract the wildlife. Where to Plant
Plant full sun to partial shade, 3-4 per single row, or 5-7 for double staggered dense hedge. Water well during dry spells and during the first year of planting. Purple berberis will look good anywhere it is planted in the garden and will provide the natural security from unwanted visitors with its spikes and thorns.
