The Thornless Loganberry (Rubus x loganobaccus) is a cross between a blackberry and raspberry fruiting earlier than its blackberry parent and having a high vitamin C content. Fruit is produced for about 2 months from July to September, harvesting the berries when they are deep purple in colour. Loganberries may be eaten right off the bush, used as an ingredient in jams, pies, crumbles, country wines and fruit syrups' The Loganberry is as large as the largest blackberry and when fully ripe is a dark bright red.. The flavour of the Loganberry is a combined flavour of both the blackberry and raspberry, pleasant, mild, and delightful.
Where to Plant
Plant full sun for best crop production. Loganberry Plants tolerate most soil types, but should be well draining and not waterlogged. Water well as especially during dry spells for the best plump fruit.
