Rowan Hedging (Sorbus) Bare Root
Rowan (Sorbus aucuparia), one of Scotland's commonest trees, is an excellent food source for birds. It is one of the best-suited trees, for gardens large or small, for the Scottish weather. Rowan is a small to medium-size tree with attractive deciduous foliage and bunches of familiar long-lasting red or fiery orange berries. Rowan plants are good for under-planting with other shrubs, and can be included in traditional hedging schemes or as stand-alone specimen trees. They produce a mass of white-cream flowers in May-June followed by masses of long-lasting berries.
