Terms & Conditions

By placing an order with ScotPlants Direct via www.scotplantsdirect.co.uk, phone, or email, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before ordering.
1. Definitions
"ScotPlants Direct", "we", "us" – ScotPlants Direct, a trading name of Glenmore Group Ltd (Company No. SC689637), Unit 5 Gateway Business Park, Beancross Road, Grangemouth, Scotland, FK3 8WX. VAT No: 371870775.
"you" – The person or organisation placing the order.
"Contract" – The agreement for the sale of goods, incorporating these Terms.
"Goods" – Live plants and garden-related products supplied by us.
"Order" – Your request to purchase goods.
"Website" – www.scotplantsdirect.co.uk
"Delivery Area" – Mainland UK, excluding remote and offshore areas.
2. Basis of Sale
All orders are subject to acceptance. A Contract is formed upon written confirmation or acceptance via the Website. Product images and descriptions are for guidance only; live plants may vary naturally.
3. Prices and Payment
All prices are in GBP and include VAT unless stated otherwise. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors at any time. Full payment is required at the time of ordering unless you hold an approved trade account. We accept most major debit and credit cards.
4. Order Amendments and Cancellations
You may amend or cancel your order free of charge up to 72 hours before dispatch. Within 72 hours of dispatch, a 15% handling fee may apply. Orders held for more than 30 days may incur storage fees.
5. Delivery
Deliveries are made to the address provided in your Order via courier or pallet network. Delivery is kerbside only and may be made without requiring a signature. Please ensure access for large vehicles. Do not arrange planting on the day of delivery. Packaging and pallets are your responsibility to dispose of.
6. Risk and Ownership
Risk transfers to you upon delivery. Ownership passes only after full payment is received. You are responsible for plant care after delivery.
7. Suitability and Toxicity
Some plants may be harmful to humans or animals. It is your responsibility to confirm suitability before purchase.
8. Returns and Refunds
Live plants are perishable and non-returnable unless damaged or incorrect. Report any issues within 3 working days with photographic evidence.
Non-perishable goods may be returned within 14 days if unused and in original packaging. Return shipping costs apply unless otherwise agreed.
Refunds are processed within 14 days of an approved return. Deductions may be made for damaged or incomplete returns.
9. 12-Month Plant Guarantee
We offer a 12-month guarantee on eligible plants, subject to:
- - Use of Rootgrow at planting
- - Evidence of correct planting and care
- - Photographic proof of plant failure
Exclusions include damage from weather, pests, neglect, or improper planting. Delivery charges for replacements are not covered.
10. Promotions
Discounts and promotions cannot be combined and exclude delivery costs. They cannot be applied retrospectively.
11. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our control, including extreme weather, transport issues, strikes, or pandemics.
12. Liability
We are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, including profit or data loss, due to delivery delays or product issues unless caused by our negligence. These Terms do not affect your statutory rights.
13. Data and Privacy
We process your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell personal information. Calls may be recorded for training purposes. Your data is used solely to process orders and provide service communications.
14. Intellectual Property
All Website content is the property of ScotPlants Direct. Reproduction or use without prior written permission is prohibited.
15. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will apply from the date of publication.
