Pine Hedging

Sitka Spruce (Picea sitchensis) has been planted in Britain since the 1930's because it is able to survive in peaty conditions, grows fast and produces good quality timber. It has a high strength to weight ratio which makes it ideal for building work as well as used in pulp, high quality explosives and even in nappies!
