Standard Shipping Rate (UK Mainland): 10-14 Working Days

ScotPlants Direct offers a contact-free delivery service throughout mainland Britain, the Scottish Highlands, and the Scottish islands. Delivery charges vary by area, and lead times can be a little longer for remote postcodes.

What delivery costs

Most orders travel as a standard parcel. The price depends on where your order is going and how heavy it is — the exact cost is always shown in your basket before you pay.

Each price covers the first 20kg. Above that we add £0.42 per kg (£0.54 to the Scottish Islands).

For example: 25 bare-root hedging whips (40–60cm) weigh about 7.5kg — £13.80 to the mainland. Ten 90/120cm pot-grown laurels weigh about 35kg — £20.10.

Pallet deliveries

Root balls, bulk bags, turf, pallet deals and the largest pot-grown plants travel on a pallet. One pallet carries up to 620kg and we can send up to six. Pallet deliveries take up to 14 days, arrive on a large lorry and are unloaded to the kerbside, so please tell us if access is tight.

Free pallet delivery applies to the order value before any discount code and does not include bulk bags. The exact charge is always shown in your basket before you pay.

Root ball hedging

All root ball plants are delivered by pallet, never by parcel, so they arrive in good condition. Root ball season runs from October to March. Sizes up to 150/175cm can be ordered online; larger root balls (175/200cm and above) are available to order — please get in touch for a price and a delivery quote.

Areas we’re unable to deliver to

We’re sorry — we can’t currently deliver to:

• Isle of Man (IM postcodes)
• Isles of Scilly (TR21–TR25)
• Northern Ireland (BT postcodes)
• Channel Islands (Guernsey and Jersey)

Isle of Wight

We deliver plants to the Isle of Wight (PO30–PO41) as normal. However, larger orders and anything that travels on a pallet — root balls, bulk bags, turf and pallet deals — can’t be ordered online for the island. Please get in touch and we’ll quote you directly.

Very large orders

Orders of more than six pallets can’t be placed online. If your order is that size, contact us and we’ll arrange it for you — we’re usually able to do better on price at that volume too.

Plants & Trees (Perishable Goods)

• Cancel before your order is processed for a full refund.
• Check plants on arrival — if damaged or faulty, let us know within 1 working day.
• Once planted or accepted after inspection, plants cannot be returned.
• Surplus plants may not always be returnable — contact us within 1 working day.

Special Orders (Sourced Goods)

• Non-refundable once preparation has begun.
• If faulty or damaged, contact us within 1 working day for a refund.

Accessories & Garden Products (Non-Perishable Goods)

• Cancel within 14 days of delivery if you change your mind.
• Goods must be unused, in original packaging, and return postage is your responsibility (unless faulty).

Refunds

• Refunds are issued within 7 days of receiving returned goods.
• Refunds will be made to your original payment method.
