Green Privet hedging is a quick-growing, semi-evergreen hedge plant. It has oval dark-green leaves, and small white flowers in summer, and is the most popular hedge plant for boundaries and screening. Privet is tolerant of most soil types and fully hardy. For hedging, plant 30-40cm apart and clip twice a year to keep the height manageable and to maintain density and bushiness. Privet hedging is wind tolerant and good for coastal or seaside situations.
