Description

Marcel Mernard is an upright hardy evergreen shrub that will electrify any garden.  Marcel Menard is an outstanding specimen when in bloom with exciting colours that will transfix your garden.  Ideal for hedging, screening, containers, beds and borders, banks and slopes.  Low maintenance.  Awarded the AGM (Award Garden of Merit).  Ultimate height and spread 2m x 2m in 10-20 years. 

Where to Plant

Plant in well draining acid soil, full sun to dappled shade. Soil types – Clay, Loamy, Sandy.  Remember that rhododendrons have shallow roots and should not be planted deep.  Water well during dry spells.
