Description

Japanese azaleas are one of the most popular features in home gardens.  They are very showy with their flowers, maintenance free and usually bloom from mid to late spring. 

Azalea Arabesk is one of the more attractive Japanese azaleas with large, deep red flowers and showy stamens.  Arabesk blooms about May until end of may with loads of flowers.  It has dark green evergreen foliage that changes to shades of burgundy and red during autumn and winter months.  Arabesk is slow growing and makes a neat compact shrub – ideal for all gardens.

Where to Plant

Plant in full sun to partial shade well-draining soil.  Average pH acid, keep soil constantly moist, or mulched and fertilise using rhododendron / azalea fertilisers.  Azaleas are shallow rooting and do not require deep planting.  They can be clipped to shape in early June, however if they are clipped, do not use fertilisers that will enhance growth as the new growth will spoil the shape you are trying to achieve.
