Topiary Plants

Topiary Plants have been used for many years in gardens. The unusal shaping of plants adds that little difference in a garden that no one else will have. The art of clipping and shapping plants to form clearly defined, geometrical or unusual shapes is an art of living sculpture. The most common plants used in topiary are Box (buxus sempervirens) Thuja ( species), Holly (ilex species) and bay laurel (laurus nobilis) to name a few. There are many aspects to creating topiary as some have created a message in a hedge 'you are here' and of course there are the many different animals appearing in gardens. Topiary is great fun!
