Characteristics

Cranberries can be eaten fresh from the plant, used in scones and cakes,  juices, jams or dried  Cranberry Early Black bush is an evergreen bush with a spreading habit.  The fruit is large, and dark red, medium sweet and juicy.  Fruiting season is from mid-late August.  Easy to grow and enjoy.  

Where to Plant

Plant full sun to partial shade, well draining soil. Cranberry plants prefer a slightly acidic soil, so amend soil with ericaceous compost before planting. Early Black is hardy and would be perfect for containers. Cranberry plants must be kept moist, but not waterlogged.   Ultimate Height 6-10ft
