Sorbus commixta, also known as the Japanese Mountain Ash, is a hardy, wildlife-friendly, deciduous tree ideal for UK gardens. Growing up to 6m tall by 3m wide in 20 years, it provides vibrant autumn foliage in copper, orange, red, and yellow, and produces masses of white-cream flowers in May-June followed by abundant orange-red berries that attract birds.
