Description:
‘Gertrude Jekyll’ is one of the most iconic English roses, valued for its powerful scent and beautifully formed flowers. It flowers repeatedly through summer, providing reliable colour and fragrance.
Its vigorous habit allows it to be grown as a shrub or trained as a short climber.
Planting & Care:
- Plant in full sun for best flowering
- Well-drained, fertile soil preferred
- Use Rootgrow and a suitable fertiliser at planting to support strong root development
- Water regularly during dry spells
- Prune in late winter or early spring
Common questions
Bare root plants are field-grown and lifted dormant — the cheapest way to plant a hedge. Pot grown plants have an established root system and can be planted year-round. Root ball plants are mature field-grown plants lifted with a soil ball for instant height.
Pot grown plants can go in the ground at any time of year. Bare root is supplied dormant from November to March, and root ball plants are lifted in that same window.
