Size:  50-60cm

Flowers:  White

Flowering Month:  Spring

Scent:  Scented

Rate of Growth: Average

Planting Location:  Full sun, partial shade

Soil Type:  Tolerates almost all soil types, but should be slight acid,  moist and well-draining.

Misc.:  Requires minimal pruning.  Remove broken, diseased branches in spring. Can be pruned to shape, but not heavy as they can go into shock.  Best to stagger pruning over a few years to prevent stress on the tree.  Prune mid-summer to early autumn.

Overall:  Keep area free of competing weeds and grass for several growing seasons.  Water well during hot, dry spells

Common questions

Bare root plants are field-grown and lifted dormant — the cheapest way to plant a hedge. Pot grown plants have an established root system and can be planted year-round. Root ball plants are mature field-grown plants lifted with a soil ball for instant height.
Pot grown plants can go in the ground at any time of year. Bare root is supplied dormant from November to March, and root ball plants are lifted in that same window.
3 plants per metre for a standard single-row hedge, or 5 per metre (staggered double row) for a dense screen.
