Hypericum Hidcote is a small to medium sized semi-evergreen shrub ideal for mixed hedge schemes or beds and borders. Flowers are intense cup shaped yellow flowers from summer to autumn.
Hypericum Hidcote or St John’s Wort is fully hardy, medium growing shrub with a dense and bushy habit and is easy to maintain. When planted in a hedging scheme it is a standout specimen especially when in full flower.
Where to Plant
Hypericum Hidcote (St John’s Wort) can be planted in full sun or partial shade, moist but well drained soil types. Tolerates most soil types, but prefers clay, chalky, sandy or loam types. Ultimate height approximately 1.5m x 1.5 metres in about 5-10 years.
