Cherry Laurel (Prunus laurocerasus 'Rotundifolia') is the classic fast-growing evergreen hedge for privacy and screening, with large glossy leaves and a dense habit. Supplied 80-100cm tall as a field-grown root ball for quick establishment; plant 2-3 per metre for a hedge that fills in within two seasons. Grows up to 60cm a year, tolerates shade and most soils, and clips well.

Planting
Plant as soon as possible after delivery in a trench with the top of the root ball level with the soil, firm in well, water thoroughly and keep watered through the first spring and summer. Leave the hessian on; it rots away.
