Dixie  Blueberries produces impressively large, juicy blueberries—often the size of a 20p coin or larger. Bursting with a delicious balance of sweetness and a gentle tang, they’re perfect for enjoying fresh or adding to your favourite recipes.

This reliable variety forms a neat, compact bush, reaching around 1m tall, making it ideal for gardens, borders, or even patio containers. Easy to grow and low-maintenance once established, Dixie is a fantastic choice for both beginners and experienced gardeners alike.

Where to Plant:

Plant full sun for best fruit production, well draining, moist soil.  Amend soil to be acidic 4.5-5.0 with ericaceous compost.  Water well the first year.

Common questions

Bare root plants are field-grown and lifted dormant — the cheapest way to plant a hedge. Pot grown plants have an established root system and can be planted year-round. Root ball plants are mature field-grown plants lifted with a soil ball for instant height.
Pot grown plants can go in the ground at any time of year. Bare root is supplied dormant from November to March, and root ball plants are lifted in that same window.
