Characteristics:
Blueberry Blue Gold has large, sky blue blueberries with sweet flavours. Blue Gold is compact in growth, with ultimate height of about 4ft. Beautiful stem colour in winter that lets you know Blue Gold is getting ready for summer cropping. Easy to grow, and a good starter fruit bush for beginners. Water well during first year of life as blueberries are 90% water. Plant outdoors, sunny position for best results. Prepare the ground well; place some ericaceous compost in the hole with the soil, place blueberry in hole, back fill, and top dress with extra ericaceous compost.
Where to Plant:
Blueberries should be planted in an acid environment - pH 4.5, well draining, as they do not like to be waterlogged. Plant in full sun for best fruit production. Plant 4-6ft between plants for best results when mature!! They should be well watered during dry periods and to ensure good fruit.
