Birch trees are very versatile, tolerant of wind and sun, and enjoy moist or sandy soil.  Perfect trees for the Scottish garden as they are extremely hardy.

Top Tip:  Betula pendula can tolerate wet and heavy soils. Washing the white bark forms with soap and water will keep them shinning and gleaming!
