Cherry Laurel plants have dark-green oblong, glossy leaves, fragrant white flowers followed by black furit. Like the common laurel, they are a fast growing, evergreen plant used mostly as hedging, windbreak, screening or for privacy. The Cherry laurel tolerates most situations, including coastal areas.
Where to Plant
Plant full sun to partial shade, well draining soil and water well during the warm temperatures. It has an upright growth habit with an ultimate height and spread of - 3m x 2m after 10 years. Plant 3-5 per metre single row hedge, or 5-7 per metre for double staggered row hedge.
