Escallonia Red Elf Evergreen

Description

Escallonia Red Elf is a compact, evergreen shrub, with small glossy green ovate leaves bearing clusters of small tubular pale red flowers in the spring. Interesting colour presentation with darker red colouration on the tube of the flower and a pale red flower becoming lighter as it matures. Ideal for beds, borders, hedging, screening. Perfect for coastal areas. Low maintenance. Ultimate height and spread – 1.5m x 1.5m in 10-20 years. Plant full sun in moist, well drained soil. Supplied 9cm pot grown, 20-30cm tall ready to plant. 3 Litre Pot

Top Tip: Hardy. Likes chalky, clay, loamy, sandy soil (most soil types)
