Where to Plant
Plant full sun to partial shade, well draining, moist slightly acidic soil. Rhododendrons should be shallow planted. Mulching is an essential part of proper care for Rhododendrons. Their roots are shallow and need protection that mulch will provide against extremes of heat and cold and drying out. Remember to water during dry spells as they like well-drained soil – which does not mean dry! Don’t let them sit in water for long periods of time as their roots will rot – they like water, but not to be sitting in water!
