Another popular dwarf evergreen shrub, Impeditum is a tight compact form. Flowers are gorgeous clusters of luscious bright purple flowers late spring. Slow growing to only 1ft. Prefers partial sun, moist but well-drained acid soil Natural for filling in edges of shade gardens, or cottage gardens, perfect for courtyards and city gardens. Excellent for disguising exposed legs of larger acid-loving shrubs. A natural for around the edges of water features and water gardens.
Where to Plant
Ultimate height and spread - 0.5-1m x 0.5-1m in 5-10 years. Prune off dead or injured branches first. Then prune back tall, limbs that shoot out of the top of the bush to promote a more attractive compact shape.
