Rhododendron azalea Melina is one of the most stunning of the evergreen Japanese azaleas. Flowers are double, sometimes triple, funnel shaped bright pink appearing in rounded inflorescence late spring thru to early June. Its leaves are dark glossy green, and only about 2-3cm long. Rhododendron Melina will grow to about 0.6m in about 10-20 years. A really impressive evergreen azalea that will out show any plant in the garden. Ideal for banks, slopes, beds and borders, and containers
Where to Plant
Plant in moist, well-drained, acid soil in partial shade. Do not plant too deep as azaleas tend to have shallow roots. Use fertilisers for rhododendron and azaleas or ericaceous plants.
