Characteristics:
Syringa vulgaris Carpe Diem, is an upright growing shrub with stunning fragrant double white / light blue flowers . The flower buds are lilac coloured, and burst open to double flower panicles that are white with a light blue pattern. The flowers are one of the most fragrant of the lilac species. Carpe Diem is one lilac that shows off with great pride. It is very hardy, easy to grow and that perfect additon to the garden. Be prepared to witness something special from early spring to late summer.
Where to plant:
Plant full sun to dappled shade, moist, well draining soil. Syringa Carpe Diem will tolerate most soil types, but prefers an alkaline soil. Water well during dry spells. Ultimate height and spread – 6m x 6m
