Description
Magnolia Red Lucky is a new introduction from China with the ability to bloom 'twice' in a year. Red Lucky produces cup-shaped, semi- large fragrant flowers from late April until mid-May and again late summer.
Magnolia Red Lucky is a new introduction from China, bearing in mind that 'red' is the lucky colour in Chinese folklore. Red Lucky flowers are white inside, with a centre of deep purple pink stamens and a medium rosy red or pink outside. Magnolia Red Lucky leaves are medium sized, deciduous, deep green. Red Lucky is an upright growing shrub or small tree, compact with good branching.
Where to Plant
Plant a bit of 'luck' in your garden this season. Plant full sun for best flowering colour to dappled shade, well draining slightly acidic soil. Ultimate heighty 5-8m.
