Skimmia is a fantastic small, spreading evergreen shrub with highly aromatic oblanceolate leaves. It has large clusters of small fragrant greenish-yellow flowers in spring. Ideal for banks and slopes, containers. Low maintenance. Awarded RHS Award of Garden Merit. Ultimate height and spread 1-1.5m in 10-20 years.
Where to Plant
Plant in partial shade to full shade, sheltered or exposed sites. Soil should be moderately fertile, moist but well draining. May become chlorotic if over exposed to sun or on poor dry soil.
