Grieselinia variegata is the variegated form of this New Zealand broadleaf. It is an upright evergreen shrub with leathery, light-green, broad oval leaves, with cream / white margins. Discreet yellow-green flowers appear in Spring followed by purple fruits in the autumn provided both sex shrubs are present. Variegata is a vigorous growing shrub making it ideal for windbreak schemes, and excellent hedges for coastal areas. Griselinia is drought tolerant and low maintenance. Ultimate height and spread 2m x 2m after 10-20 years.
