Description
Ceanothus Cool Blue is a vigorous yet unique variegated California Lilac. Leaves are small, somewhat oblong, toothed with creamy white margins and a splash of dark green centres. Flowers are panicles of fragrant violet blue spherical shaped, from about spring to early summer.
Ideal for borders, coastal areas, containers, almost anywhere in the garden. Ceanothus Cool Blue is attractive to many great pollinators, disease and pest resistance are good. Cool Blue can be drought tolerant when mature as well as salt tolerant.
Where to Plant
Best to plant in a sunny to partial shade situation, well-draining soil. Easy to maintain, however pruning tips would be helpful to shape after flowering. Good for coastal gardens, as it has year-round foliage colour. Ultimate height and spread about 3-4ft x 4-5ft when mature. Rate of growth is slow to medium.
