Characteristics
Lonicera Serotina is one of the best vigorous classic garden climbers. Fragrant creamy-white flowers, streaked dark-red purple lend to a two-tone appearance, followed by small bright red berries. Scented flowers bloom a bit later than other deciduous honeysuckle flowers but keep going from late summer and autumn. Serotina is fully hardy and perfect for a wall, fence, growing through trees, etc. Eventual height and spread – 7m x 1m in about 5-10 years.
Where to Plant
Plant full sun to partial shade (Serotina prefers partial shade), well-draining, moist soil. Tolerates chalk, clay, sand and loamy soil types.
