Portuguese Laurel (Prunus lusitanica) hedging is a popular, evergreen, vigorous hedge laurel.
Its dark green leaves and red stems help the Portuguese laurel stand out better than its cousins, the Common and Cherry Laurel. Perfect for that 'instant hedge' feeling,. Its white flowers in June make this a useful shrub for massing in shade, under trees and along drives and for making dense hedging screens. It can be used for topiary. Ultimate height and spread - 3-5m.
Where to Plant
Plant full sun to shade, most soil types. Plant 1 per metre for hedge. Approximate weight of each rootball 30kg.
NOTE: Scot Plants Direct can only supply Rootballed plants when they are dormant during the winter months but you can PRE ORDER now to ensure an early delivery date at the start of the season in November.
