Caucasica is similar to the Common Laurel except that Caucasica has dark-green oblong, glossy leaves, fragrant white flowers in April-May followed by black fruit. It is another fast growing, evergreen shrub used extensively as hedging, windbreak, screening and boarder planting. Because they are quick growing, their popularity has grown in recent years. Caucasica is tolerant of most situations and soils.
