Yellow dogwood (Cornus) plants are quick growing with bright yellow-green coloured stems in winter. Winter brings the smooth, shiny bright yellow-green stems of the Cornus into a colourful display where ever dogwood is planted As for all Dogwood, they are tough and hardy and make a great hedging plants for coastal areas. Cornus also love those moist, damp, wet areas of all gardens and will thrive under these conditions.
Where to Plant
Plant 3-4-per metre for single row hedge or 5-7 per metre for staggered row hedge. Ultimate height and spread 3m x 4m in about 10 years. Cornus should be purned back in about February to stimulate new growth and enable the plant to continue to provide gardens with the durability of dogwood. Plant full sun for best stem colour, but will tolerate partial shade.
