Golden Champion (Vitis vinifera) grape is conceivably one of the best white grapes available that will grow outside in the UK. Golden Champion grape vines should be planted against a sunny wall or in a conservatory. Golden Champion grape vines will tolerate most soil types, but soil should be well drained. Golden Champion crops are very productive and can be used as a great dessert grape or wine making in autumn. Golden Champion will climb to a height of 15m x 4m after 10-20 years.
Where To Plant
Plant in full sun for best fruit results, well draining soil Grape Vines need to be pruned hard in winter to keep them under control. Prune while growth is completely absent. Can be grown both outdoors or in greenhouse, polytunnel or conservatory. Water well during dry spells.
