Raspberry Octavia Summer Fruiting Bareroot Canes
- Recent floricane introduction, cropping from mid July thru to early August
- Large crops, sweet flavours
- Supplied 40-60cm tall, Bareroot Raspberry Canes ready to plant
Octavia raspberry canes fruit on the previous year’s cane (Floricane) with berries that are large, firm, sweet and in good quantities. Octavia is a new summer fruiting introduction that is becoming more popular than other floricane raspberry varieties. Picking time for Octavia raspberries is from July through August and crops should be in good quantities.
Octavia raspberries are produced from the base of the canes almost to the top – plenty of mouth-watering fruit each season with less seeds, but sweet flavours! The canes are upright and more easy to manage despite the spines. Octavia is the first late summer raspberry, high yields, sweet flavours, firm berries right through August! Perfect raspberry canes for home gardens and allotments!
Where to Plant
Octavia raspberry canes should be planted in full sun, moist, well-draining loam or sandy soil with a slight acidic ph. Octavia raspberry canes are hardy and recommended for Scotland and the little colder North.
