Beth is a superb choice of pear for the garden, compact dessert pear with white flowers in the Spring. Beth is one of the earliest pears to ripen with fruit that is medium sized with exciting juicy and sweet flavours, smooth pale green skin, turning pale yellow when ripe. A great reliable cropper from an early age.
Beth is another favourite for growing in the Scottish locations. Season of use August to September.
Where to Plant
Plant in full sun, well draining, moist soil. Make sure the blossoms are protected from frosts, and Beth will be a very good cropper. Water well during dry spells. Ultimate height and spread – 4-8m x 4-8m in 10 years.
