Description
Opal plums are an outstanding early fruiting dessert plum. The flavour from an Opal Plum is sweet, juicy and just delicious. They are medium in size with red / purple outer skin and when you bite into an Opal you find the yellow / golden flesh just oozing with sweet flavours.
Where to Plant
Opal plums are one of the most reliable of all garden plum trees, and will surprise you with its crops each year. Self-Fertile, requiring no other partner, and will aid in pollinating other plums trees in the same flowering group. Plant full sun for best results, tolerates most soil types, except chalky and badly drained areas. Suitable for the colder areas of the UK, but is a good one for all beginners in any garden.
NOTE: ScotPlants Direct can only supply bareroot trees when they are dormant during the winter months but you can PRE ORDER now to ensure an early delivery date at the start of the season in November to March annually.
