James Grieve is not only Self-Fertile but a good pollinator for other apple trees. It is one of the best apple trees to come from Scotland. It is one of the best apples for all UK gardens and ideal for the cooler regions of the country. Season of use September to October, excellent for attracting bees.

Where to Plant
Plant full sun, well-draining, moist soil. Can be planted with Golden Delicious, Granny Smith, Gala, Red Delicious, for increased pollination. They are also one of easiest of apple trees to grow and maintain. Water well during the first year to establish and especially during the hot spells. Check out Rootstock type.
