The Betula birch tree has a striking reverence with its dark green leaves contrasting beautifully with the white bark in the summer, and golden tones in the autumn. A shallow rooting tree, plant full sun for best colour show, to partial shade, well-draining, moist soil. Himalayan Birch trees can be planted as stand-alone specimen or in groups for a more awesome effect. They are very hardy with ultimate height about 3-4m tall in 10 years.
