Potentillas are sometimes referred to as ‘Cinquefoil’ and are excellent deciduous hedging shrubs or specimen plants  for any size garden. They are almost totally free of disease and pests and require minimal pruning and produce profuse saucer shaped flowers of many colours from yellow, cream white, red orange, tangerine  from June to October. Potentillas are fully hardy and will live through all a types of weather – they pop up when you least expect them!  Potentilla Plants have an advantage over most other plants in that they thrive in most soil conditions and stand full sun to shade. They are a very durable hedging plant or specimen shrub in that they tolerate drought,, flooding, extreme cold.  Truly a gem for the garden.  As a hedge plant they will provide an easy to grow colourful aspect to any garden.  Mix and match the colours of yellow, pink, white and tangerine and imagine the stunning hedge that will erupt your garden into life each spring through to the later part of the summer - be different!
