Hydrangea petiolaris is considered to be the BEST of all vines. It blooms from June to early July. Petiolaris has large creamy white flowers about 6-10 inches across, with a sweet aroma cover the plant contrasting well with dark green leaves. In winter, the leaves drop, and the woody stems take centre stage with their peeling cinnamon coloured bark and the magic of its twists and turns of its stems. Hydrangea petiolaris is considered to be one of the best climbing woody vines making this the perfect plant for your garden. Its small aerial roots cling tight to any trellis or wall, thus the need for a trellis is obsolete – just great freedom to climb up. Easy to maintain pruning occasional if needed.
