Very good for mass planting and makes interesting windbreak. Widely used plant as a freestanding, spring flowering shrub or a large shrub for borders.  Flowers are lemon yellow to golden yellow, hanging bell-shaped which flowers profusely covering bare stems early to mid spring.  Leaves are ovate, long tooth-edged, light to mid green--Fabulous splash of spring colour!!!
