Escallonia is an evergreen shrub with pretty tube shaped flowers from pink, white and red depending on the variety that last from June to October.   Its small, shiny, scented green leaves pull out the vibrant flower colours that will make any garden burst with pride.  Escallonia is a great coastal hedging shrub or specimen plant as it is well suited for the seaside and windy situations. It is fast growing and will reach heights of 150cm.    Prune Escallonia after flowering in late summer.
